Rattlesnake Collection and Relocation Safety Protocols Part 1

The focus of Part 1 is to inform the learner about the biology and behavior of rattlesnakes as well as the equipment used to protect both the handler and the animal when capturing and relocating a venomous snake. Introduced in this course is the use of "gaiters" (Personal Protective Equipment or PPE), the snake hook and the operation of a specially designed venomous snake transport and relocation box. Video case studies demonstrate how an experienced handler works with the equipment and snake.
